Oi, Hollywood. Sou eu, Israel Nobre, conhecido pelos cidadãos da internet como Kid, porém mais frequentemente por alcunhas impublicáveis que na maioria das vezes se referem à minha mãe. Certamente você lembra de mim, ou ao menos dos milhares de dólares que eu gasto todo ano frequentando os cinemas locais pra duas horas de escapismo regadas a Sprite e pipoca absurdamente cara.
Assistir filmes é um dos meus maiores hobbies, vício herdado do meu pai (assim como tantas outras de minhas características. Eu sou a prova viva de que nossos filhos acabam sendo versões 2.0 de nós mesmos) que era do tipo que colecionava trezentos VHSs com três filmes em cada um, devidamente catalogados com ajuda de adesivinhos amarelos da Verbatim na frente da fita.
Cinematografia é um de meus maiores interesses, ao ponto de que eu cheguei a entreter por algum tempo a fantasia de trabalhar na indústria de produção cinematográfica (edição/direção/essas merdas). Tal sonho foi abandonado em prol de uma ocupação mais edificante (assistir câmeras de vigilância enquanto treino Pokemons no meu Nintendo DS).
O motivo pelo qual escrevo essa carta é porque algumas coisas que você vem empurrando em cima da gente filme após filme começaram a irritar não apenas a mim, mas a muitos outros cinéfilos como eu. Tire um tempinho em sua ocupada agenda de lançar versões cinematográficas de seriados dos anos 70 estrelando Johnny Knoxville (pra que a turminha de 14 anos consiga se identificar com o filme) e leia essa pequena listinha que eu organizei pra você.
Que tal parar com essa onda de filmes de vampiros que tentam ser Matrix?
Sim, estou olhando pra vocês, Blade e Underworld. E pros inevitáveis copycats que aparecerão nos próximos anos por influência de vocês.
No finzinho dos anos 90, um filme escrito por irmãos de nome estranho com efeitos especiais mirabolantes e trama com diversas referências filosóficas revolucionou o cenário pros filmes de ação que o seguiriam. Estou falando de um dos meus filmes favorito, talvez O meu filme favorito - Matrix. A iconografia do filme (casacos pretos, trocas de tiros em câmera lenta, óculos escuros) foi “emprestada” por praticamente todo outro filme de ação lançado em seguida.
Pouco tempo depois, em alguma mansão na Califórnia, um executivo inescrupuloso decidiu que de todos os gêneros que poderiam se beneficiar dessa visão estilística, os filmes de vampiros seriam os mais indicados pra emular Matrix. O sujeito apanhou um guardanapo e passou imediatamente a escrever sequências de ação com um bonequinho-palito com uma inscrição dizendo “esse aqui é o caçador de vampiros”, e várias linhas saindo deste, indicando balas voando em direção a vários outros bonequinhos-palitos, entitulados “esses aqui são os vampiros”.
O problema óbvio com essa trama (”caçador de vampiros usando sobretudo e óculos escuros metralha oitocentos vampiros em 5 segundos”) é que vampiros, como você deve saber, não são pessoas como eu, você ou o seu primo Chiquim. Vampiros são, e estou citando diretamente do meu livro de Vampiro a Máscara, “cadáveres reanimados por rituais mágicos”. A parte “cadáver” garante que objetos como balas não os causam muito dano, já que eles já estão mortos. E a parte “rituais mágicos” garante que eu ou você ou o seu primo Chiquim estaríamos todos inevitavelmente fodidos se nos encontrassemos com um vampiro na vida real, queiram tenhamos uma metralhadora ou não.
Em outras palavras, vampiros são essencialmente imunes a danos físicos, e ainda que não fossem, eles têm milhares de truques escondidos na manga justamente praquela situação em que alguém quer encher suas bundas de bala.
Pra tornar possível o cenário de um caçador de vampiros metralhando os bichos, introduziu-se o conceito da “bala de prata”, e/ou misturada com essência de alho. É a única forma mais ou menos verossímil pra mostrar um vampiro sofrendo danos ao ser atacado pelo portador de uma arma de fogo. Afinal, vampiros têm aversão a tanto prata como alho, tornando-os efetivamente alérgicos a bala.
Aí que reside o problema. Ao contrário de um ser humano, ao ser atingido por uma bala de prata e/ou alho um vampiro literalmente explode. Não importa se você acertou o cara no meio do olho esquerdo ou se a bala passou raspando no dedinho do pé, o resultado é o mesmo. Se você assistiu algum desses filmes, deve ter chegado à mesma conclusão que eu - os vampiros nesses filmes são MAIS frágeis que os humanos que eles supostamente dominam. Um humano qualquer pelo menos tem a chance de sobreviver a um tiro.
Talvez seja por isso que os vampiros dos filmes sempre insistem em manter o mistério ao respeito da própria existência, o que parece um contrasenso já que eles se dizem ser tão mais poderosos que seres humanos. Tão com medo de um zé mané qualquer derreter os garfos da mãe e em seguida colocar a raça vampírica em extinção.
Eu já vi a explosão, não preciso-lo reve-la em cinquenta ângulos diferentes
Como você deve saber, fazer filmes custa caro. E algumas cenas costumam custar mais caro que outras. Grandes cenas de explosão, por exemplo. Se as imagens resultantes não foram conforme esperado, os produtores terão que desembolsar mais alguns milhares de dólares pra explodir outro barco/carro/Casa Branca em miniatura.
A solução pro problema é filmar a cena da explosão usando cinquenta câmeras e ângulos diferentes. A precaução garante que ao menos UMA sequência ficará boa e poderá ser usada no filme.
Acontece que por algum motivo que eu simplesmente não consigo compreender, na fase de edição do filme os caras falam pra si mesmos “sabe duma coisa? acabou acontecendo que todos os shots da explosão ficaram perfeitos. Vamos usar todos então!”. E por causa disso você é obrigado a assistir cenas de explosão três ou quatro vezes, de todos os ângulos diferentes. Talvez porque eles não tenham certeza que você entendeu a cena da primeira vez.
Então, vamos parar com isso? Se é realmente preciso enxertar uma cena desnecessária que só dura alguns segundos, por que não substituir as explosões por nudez gratuita? Tentem aí, garanto que ninguém vai reclamar, tenta aí. Visualizem: o mafioso entra em seu carro, bota a chave na ignição, o carro explode. Corta pra uma cena da Scarlett Johanson em nu frontal por 10 segundos. Volta pro filme.
Eu pagaria pra ver esse filme. Duas vezes, até.

Não sei se a culpa é do John Woo ou do Jerry Bruckheimer, e é difícil estabelecer o pioneiro dessa “técnica” porque praticamente qualquer filme de ação, naquele momento que precisa estabelecer que os heróis são SUPERCOOL, apela pra tradicional “vamos todos andar lado a lado em câmera lenta em direção à câmera”.
É clichê. Não é sequer legal. Alguém por aí decidiu que isso é legal, mas alguém por acaso consultou a gente? Certamente não me incluiram nessa pesquisa.
Bruce Willis como um personagem que não seja um assassino, militar, ou policial? BLASFÊMIA!
Você esteve assistindo filmes ultimamente? Sim? Ah, então você vai me ajudar. Dá pra tu me indicar aí um filme em que o Bruce Willis não tenha interpretado um dos três papéis típicos aí em cima?
Sim, eu sei que ele fez filmes interpretando personagens diferentes. Mas se você somar todos, o número não chegaria nem na metade da quantia de filmes com os personagens clichês. Caso você não se lembre, vou aqui fazer as continhas pra não acharem que estou exagerando. Confiram aí embaixo.

O cara praticamente nasceu pra interpretar homens intimidantes que andam armados. Ou pelo menos é isso que cineastas estão tentando convencer a gente há uns vinte anos. Algumas pessoas dizem que existem vários atores que só conseguem interpretar o mesmo personagem (Will Ferrel ou Samuel L Jackson, por exemplo). Mas na verdade esses caras interpretam vários personagens diferentes, DA MESMA FORMA. O Bruce Willis, coitado, sempre recai nos mesmos três personagens clássicos - militar, policial, assassino.
Vamos lá Hollywood, você consegue largar esses vícios. Fé em Deus, rapaz.
